A Christ-centered organization providing at no charge, through a network of community volunteers, non-medical support services and companionship for the frail elderly who require assistance in living independently.

THE CHALLENGES

1. PRACTICAL: When early-stage loss of independence and mobility occurs, we can't presume our care will be provided by the State, and our family's time and resources may be limited, as well. We face the potential of outliving our financial resources, and we can be overwhelmed by life's everyday tasks. How can we find affordable helping hands to perform light tasks?

2. EMOTIONAL: We may feel isolated, overlooked, and very alone, which may cause us to disconnect from our family and community. Pride and confusion may prevent us from connecting to community resources. All of this can lead to depression and premature death. How can we find appropriate companionship to stimulate our minds and help to sustain our dignity and identity?

3. SPIRITUAL: We may have experienced several layers of personal loss and have unresolved life issues. We may be facing our own mortality for the first time. How can we find lasting peace?

This is God's Kingdom Assignment - all glory for the good that we accomplish is His, and we pray all who involve themselves in it will do so because of His leading. Hart Felt Ministries was created to "make a difference" by matching trained, gifted volunteers with those who are struggling to maintain their independence, privacy, and identity - to enable them to "age in place" with dignity.

We collaborate with local faith congregations, service organizations, and governmental agencies to provide a network of services for our clients at no charge. These services are offered with no regard for race or faith.

"We are many, but in Christ we are all one body. Each one is a part of that body." Romans 12:5
