  Hart Felt Ministries Inc

Our organization:
Hart Felt was founded in 2004 by Jane Hart after hearing the Lord's call to action. Since that time, word has spread across Jacksonville and the rest of the country regarding what Hart Felt is doing. Volunteer ranks have expanded to over 200 people, while the client list now numbers over 350. Many thousands of hours of volunteer time are being invested in our elderly neighbors and friends to help them "age in place".

The Challenges As We Age:
1. PRACTICAL: When early-stage loss of independence and mobility occurs, we can't presume our care will be provided by the State, and our family's time and resources may be limited, as well. We face the potential of outliving our financial resources, and we can be overwhelmed by life's everyday tasks. How can we find affordable helping hands to perform light tasks?

2. EMOTIONAL: We may feel isolated, overlooked, and very alone, which may cause us to disconnect from our family and community. Pride and confusion may prevent us from connecting to community resources. All of this can lead to depression and premature death. How can we find appropriate companionship to stimulate our minds and help to sustain our dignity and identity?

3. SPIRITUAL: We may have experienced several layers of personal loss and have unresolved life issues. We may be facing our own mortality for the first time. How can we find lasting peace?

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10
