  Get Involved with Hart Felt!

Hart Felt volunteers need to possess the desire to serve others. They require a sincere willingness and ability to work with people in the community who may be frail due to age or have physical, social, or developmental disabilities.

Volunteers must be over the age of 18.

We will provide the training to develop the skills to successfully perform these acts of kindness.

The Role of a Hart Felt Volunteer
  • Volunteer assignments are made following the completion of an application and interview and positive responses from two non-family references and various background checks. We serve a vulnerable population, and their security is of utmost importance.
  • Volunteers may be asked to visit, provide respite care, telephone reassurance, assistance with shopping and meal preparation, transportation, home repairs, or whatever activities are needed to help an individual remain independent and at home.
  • Volunteers are matched with care receivers based on the volunteer's preferences for services, geographic location, congregation, background, and interests.
  • There are opportunities for long-term, short-term, or even occasional client contacts. Volunteers may work as much or as little as they wish.
