HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Step 1:
Submit an Application
Fill out our Volunteer Application or call the Hart Felt office with questions at 904-861-2799.
Step 2:
reference CHECK AND BACKGROUND SCREEN
Once we have your application, we will check your references and send you a link to do a background screening.
Step 3:
Attend TRAINING
Once you’ve filled out the background screening, you are eligible to attend a training session. Training is currently conducted virtually using Zoom.
Step 4:
Choose How You Want To Help
At the orientation/training you’ll be given more information about Hart Felt and the services we provide to our clients and we’ll get a better idea of how you’d like to serve.
Step 6:
Start Volunteering
For companionship volunteers, a Hart Felt staff member goes on an initial visit to the client’s home to introduce you to your potential client. If you are helping with repairs or in another capacity, then we reach out to get you started!
Step 5:
RETURN Paperwork
Once you have returned your paperwork, we will work to match you with a client based on your preferences/availability and your geographical proximity to a client.
