MISSION
The mission of Hart Felt Ministries is to honor God by enriching the lives of seniors and enabling them to age in place with dignity and grace.
VISION
Our vision is a community where frail seniors no longer fear where and how they age.
Our HISTORY
In 2003, Jane Hart heeded God’s call to establish a ministry to help frail seniors in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Hart Felt was incorporated in 2003 with the hope of training 200 hands and has since trained nearly 1600 hands and helped more than 1200 clients.
Volunteering in nursing homes, Jane saw a need for in-home care that would keep seniors from entering nursing homes prematurely. Seniors who had no family and no friends; they had nowhere to turn for companionship and simple tasks. Companionship and wheelchair ramp constructions were among the top requested services. With the dissolution of another senior organization in our area, however, we saw the need for other forms of assistance. In 2016 with support from the Jim Moran Foundation, The Hart Fund was launched to meet the growing need in the community to provide minor home repairs and emergency financial assistance to our clients.
