Hart Felt Ministries’ Fall Prevention Program includes building wheelchair ramps and installing railings and grab bars all at no charge to underserved seniors 70 and older. 

The CDC states, “Falls are a threat to the health of older adults and can reduce their ability to remain independent.” It also says, “...falling once doubles your chances of falling again.” Building wheelchair ramps and installing railings and grab bars reduces falls and therefore directly improves home safety and fulfills our mission to help seniors age in place.

Funds will specifically be used to purchase ramp building supplies. We collaborate with a lumber supply company that allows us to purchase lumber at cost and all labor for builds and installations is donated by volunteers who also provide the needed tools. The return on investment is huge - it gives seniors the gift of safety, mobility, and lifts spirits!
